Ranchera Nighttime Vibes: A Classic Laid-Back Look for a Coffee Hangout

The classic jeans and white top combo is perfect for a chic coffee date. Opt for high-waisted jeans with a cropped white tank to emphasize your waist. Add a Ranchera flair with a statement belt, and pair with woven sandals that mimic huaraches if you don't own a pair. Effortlessly stylish!

Ranchera Nighttime Vibes: A Classic Laid-Back Look for a Coffee Hangout

Something about late-night coffee meet-ups with your friend just hits in a way that feels relaxing and remedial. As much as I enjoy the hustle and bustle nature of cafes during the day, I discovered going in the evening is pleasant, especially when you are having a great conversation.

I actually would have made this a hobby of mine a long time ago if most of the local cafes didn’t close shop early. Now, 7 or 8 pm is considered a reasonable time, but the night owl in me is begging for longer hours into the late night. Should I be ingesting caffeine at 10 pm? That’s a big ‘NO’ since it will keep my hyperactive mind alert for even longer, but, given the chance, indulging in this vice every once in a while should not do too much harm. And, if I were to visit cafes at night regularly, I could always make the responsible choice of choosing a tea or lemonade instead of the habitual choice.

For now, I am glad my friend asked me out to Urth Caffe in Pasadena. She inspired my outfit as well since I wanted to match with her, so I will give all the credit to her.

What a dainty pose

The white tank top I wore was actually longer than what is depicted, but since I wanted to show a sliver of my stomach that night I decided to fold it up. To make it shorter I tied the back with a hair tie and flipped it in to tuck the tail into my bra strap so it would stay in its place. Not my favorite of hacks because I do not like how it scrunches in the back, but it has its uses.

The jeans I wore were pants I had just thrifted that day. I was at Crossroads in Old Towne Pasadena, just browsing, hoping to find wide-leg bottoms and the thrifting gods had blessed me with 2 valuable finds. The best part, the jeans fit well over my hips and form nicely to my waist. I send my thanks to the gods and hope I have continued luck at finding cute clothes at thrift stores.

Color scheme-wise, the whole outfit was in the direction of a classic combo. You can never go wrong with white and blue. I would describe the look I wore as casual and perhaps even homesteady. Thus, I will label this look under my Ranchera Aesthetic.
